Hello,
We are making slight changes to our requirements for model and property releases to create a consistent policy across footage and images. The changes are small, but may result in a handful of previously-approved releases being rejected in the future. We’ve outlined the changes below. Please have a look!
Update to Model Release Requirements
Nude Models - As before, releases for nude models must include a copy of the model’s photo identification with proof that the model is over the age of 21. Now, we will require this additional information even when the model’s face is not visible.
Tattoos Make Models Identifiable - Previously, a photo of a tattoo on a person would not have required a model release if the person’s face was not visible (it would, however, require a property release because a tattoo is considered artwork). Now, a model release will be required for photos of people with visible tattoos even if the face is not visible. This change has been made because a tattoo can make an individual’s identity clear, even if their face is not shown.
Photographer Name - This is more of a clarification than a change. The Photographer Name must match, or contain the name that is listed as “Make Checks Payable To” in your account. This means that the Photographer Name on the release may be a business. “Mary Smith / ABC Photography” is also acceptable.
Update to Property Release Requirements
For real estate, the title of the authorized representative must be included. For example, if the release is for a house, the authorized representative would fill out their name, and for title, include “Home Owner” or “Property Manager.”
When the release is for artwork, a thumbnail of the work being released must be included. This policy is clarified to include recognizable tattoos.

Thank you!
