Reason for deactivation:
We understand that the amount of creativity each of us houses can change from day-to-day. Sometimes we will look to the works of another for inspiration to create our own expression of an idea. Although we understand it is not unusual to draw inspiration from our fellow creatives, it is important that we understand and are mindful of the practice that has come to be called \'abusive inspiration\'.
Abusive inspiration, while not a legal term, is a term that the community has come to use when referring to a contributor who repeatedly draws inspiration from other members (usually from popular works) to create his or her content. It is not considered to be in the iStock community spirit, and is against our policies, to do this repeatedly, and we will do audit our collection and portfolios when this occurs.
After completing an audit of your portfolio, we noted several files which were similar to other popular files within the collection. Examples of this to illustrate our concerns have been included. These images along with others will be deactivated from your account. You will be emailed a notification for each file that is deactivated.
Please accept this notification as a formal warning. Due to the frequency of this activity in your portfolio, further activity of this nature will result in a full closure of your account.
We will be monitoring your account to assure us this pattern does not continue and your willingness to cooperate in this matter. We encourage you to audit your own portfolio for cases where you are aware that you have done this as well.
