"Hello, Evan!
I’m your contributor [...], my gallery at Shutterstock is [...].
I kindly ask you to help me again. At first I want to say that it’s great to deal with such industry-leading microstock agency as Shutterstock. And as always, I want to confirm that I fully respect you copyright policy and I always try to be best informed in any updates of this important subject. In order to follow all these rules I’ve chosen for myself a little winning strategy – to create all objects personally – various electronic devices, vehicles and some other items, real photos of which could be a subject of copyright. Before designing and modeling every object I always carefully investigate whether my efforts will be commercially successful and whether result of that work will comply with the copyright policy.
So, recently I’ve chosen a tablet PC as my next subject for designing – the most popular computer device for few last months. I’ve carefully designed shapes, controls and overall look in CorelDRAW, than created high-detailed 3D model in 3dsmax based on my vector drafts. I also thought that it would be nice and additionally attractive for buyer to be displayed something on my tablet PC’s screen. I decided to create fictional screenshot of abstract OS interface, in which I’ve used a set of my own photos, which could be found in my portfolio on your site and partially in my portfolio on other sites. Here are all of them:
[links to my photos]
All these photos I’ve combined on abstract artificial fractal background, which I’ve also created personally in Photoshop. As a result of all this hours-long work I’ve got high quality 3D rendered images of completely fictitious model of tablet PC, which is not a copy of any real existing product or even concept. All text labels on it are also fictional and used just in order to improve its photorealistic look.
I’ve put this detailed story into comments for your editors, attached full set of screenshots as a property release, but unfortunately for unknown reason I’ve received rejection for copyright… So, I’m quite disappointed with this decision and I have nothing to do but to ask you to help me in this problem again.
The number of rejected image is [...].
Great thanks!
With best regards,
your contributor [...]."
:
"Hello [...],
Thank you for such a highly detailed and well-researched email. Your image definitely looks original enough to be accepted for commercial stock use. Please feel free to resubmit it with a note to my attention.
Kind Regards,
